Revising an old Ariens without a "deadman" lever
Original Message   Oct 21, 2013 10:15 am
The really old Ariens don't have a dead man lever, that is, by default they advance forward at whatever the gear selector is set to with or without an operator.

There is a lever on the handlebar similar to a deadman, but it's released for the blower to be in motion.   Newer models will stop if the lever is released, or let go of.  The thought of one cruising down the path, without an operator, gobbling everything in it's way is becoming troublesome.

Has someone come up with a revision that will stop the machine if the operator lets go?
