Seems pretty quite here this summer so I thought I'd give you all something to do :-)
Picked up a two stroke SS machine today for a good price (from what I've been able to see around here), but I need help to ID the manufacturer since there is no name on the unit. It has a Tecumseh HSK845 8222D, with a DOM of  0257 G.

I need to order replacement paddles & scraper bar.

It looks like an old mtd 4.5hp 21 inch single stage to me.  Probably 1997 if i had to guess.

Google 317E150-000 and you'll get a parts tree for it.  Get the part number of the parts you want and google them for a range of prices.  Sears and many others sold that model.

Thanks guys, you were a lot more help than the guy at MTD. He sent me a generic owners manual that looks like it might apply. Another case of a big corporation thinking that a kid & a computer could replace some one with years of experience.
Thank goodness there are still a few of them around!
