Toro CCR2000 for $400.00??
Original Message   Feb 26, 2013 3:54 pm
A local a$$ clown is trying to sell a used, but in nice shape, 1990's CCR200 for $400.00!

Am I out of line thinking the price is a bit high?

Seems high to me.   The price probably seems more reasonable during a snowstorm.

I've seen Snow Commanders asking for $700.  Hmm...it's still listing that way for the last 3 years.  :)

Why are you trying to buy another SS snowblower?

I'm not.

I was just perusing Kijiji and saw the machine for sale.  I'm surprised it's got a $400.00 price tag when there are numerous decent two stage machines selling for less.

Is there a good Honda OPE dealer in your town (Thunder Bay)? Do they stock HS621? It is asking $1200 before your ultra low taxes.

$400.00 is a steep price for a CCR2000/3000 around these parts. $250.00 (in pristine condition just before a snow storm) and down is more in line for a Toro single stage.

There was one around here priced at $100.00 OBO.
Ad said it ran but carb leaked a little.
I sold two of them in Dec. for $180.00 each.
I really like the 2000s

The main attraction for the CCR2000 is the sweet 47P Suzuki engine.  However, for $400.00, it will not be a happening thing.  Particularly when I can buy Tecumseh powered SS machines for a fraction of the price.

I wanted to get one of these engines.  The engine is bulletproof, the new ignition module is rare and will costs as much as new engine.

I thought there was a fairly inexpensive aftermarket ignition module available for that engine.  Or am I confusing it with the Toro/Lawn Boy/R-tek engine module?

I haven't done a lot of research on the 47P so, I could very well be mistaken.

Nonetheless, I've converted to using Tecumseh HSK8xx and TH139 engined SS machines, other than the one and only Toro I have.  Which hasn't been out of the shed once this year.   Not sure if I'd classify the Tecumseh two strokes as "bullet proof" yet.  However, considering the use/abuse they've been getting whithout so much as a whimper, at the very least, I'd have to say they're pretty stout.
