Help with fuel line plumbing Original Message Feb 11, 2013 11:54 am
I removed the Walbro HDA 59-1 carb from my Homelite 420 ss some time ago. Now that I'm finally putting it back on I can't remember which of the two small fuel lines that connect to the top of the carb, goes where. The fuel supply is evident because it is larger, but the other two are the same size. Any one seen these before?

It's alive hahahaha! Once I read about the impulses from the crankcase operating the fuel pump, I figured that it didn't matter which hose went where. Whether it's an impulse from the crank case or from the primer bulb, they both push fuel, so I just plugged them in, gave it a pull & off she went! I don't think she'll keep up with the other Boratified 2 strokes, but that's another project.
By the way, I sent an email to Walbro to get some clear info but they weren't of any help. The guy said, "The two fittings on the fuel pump cover were for circulating fuel around the fins on the engine to warm the fuel" ?????
