My Honda 928WAS is Pulling Left Original Message Dec 29, 2012 6:35 pm
My Honda 928 has been pulling left (I am not getting more liberal either) and more pronounced this year. The skid shoes show uneven wear (left side showing faster wear), which my local dealer said it is a classic indication of over inflated and damaged tire (s). Do you guys agree?

I know that on my Ariens. If I don't have the the same pressure (+/- 2 or 3 lbs.) in both tires. It will pull noticeably to one side. So if your left tire is low it will pull to that side. And because it's low a little more weight is being transferred to that skid as well. The blower is actually leaning a little to the left. I had a 928 for a while and didn't really care for the very soft and spongy tires. The 928 I had was kind of old and had been abused. But when I tried running more pressure in the tires. The bead on one of them kept sliding right off the rim. It was as if the tires had gotten stretched. I'm guessing that is why the dealer used the word damaged. Maybe those tires do stretch if over inflated. I know they don't really appear to have a stiff bed like most. You can mount them just by pushing them on the rim. I least you could on the one I owned.

Yes, as most likely but could simply be a shoe height adjustment. Some people have slopped driveways and clear 90 to the slope and have marked variation in shoe wear..

Hehe. Don't you know as the operator gets older, it's only natural to veer right. Even cliff jumpers have to settle down sometime. If you're already far right, the only way to go is left.
Not that helps your snowblower tendency to go left, but I appreciate your political humor.
