your message board is crappy
Original Message   Feb 7, 2005 5:57 pm
last week i posted a very detailed story about about a honda snowblower .at least i thought i posted it until the site told me i wasnt a member and couldnt post here.and my story was lost in a hurry.

i thought it was somthing i did...and even posted here about it.a few minutes later my computer went down and i didnt get back for days.

this evening i started posting a deatailed story about a kohler engine .

guess what it kicked me out again..and i even checked to see if i was still logged in and i was.

when i hit the post button ...there it was gone .

sombody seems to be playing a nasty trick here.

im not very computer savvy but small engines are my experienca .

if you like me helping then someone best help me.

later a very disapointed chris

Chris,
If you will, type it in Word or your favorite word processor program. Send it to me I will type it and see if I have a problem. And if you save it you will still have it. I have one 98 machine that I can try a long post on. Might take until tomorrorw afternoon to get to the machine. But I can do it anytime from here.

If you save it in a word processor program, you can cut and paste into this site.

This site has been pretty good after some growing pains at the beginning.

Maybe this has happened to others?

My Account then in the bottom right hand corner there is a check box. Didn't even notice it.

And I saw the one about the Advanced thing.

I had the same problem but did what Marshall said and it allowed me to write until everyone reading my post fell asleep...

Actually, I just made that up. Shoveler, it's a conspiracy against you. MissSnowshoveler told us you liked practical jokes and we couldn't resist. We contacted the CIA, they were a big help in determining when you would actually post. The video of you kicking the computer is hilarious.   We"ll leave out the audio when we play it.

Well I just posted my first review and I had no problems. (But then again I have found that little box and had it checked last Saturday.)

I know that I type faster then my darling Chris and he should maybe type them in another program and save them - but we don't have a typable word program.  Maybe the old fashion way of pen and paper and them I could type them for him.  (But I won't mention that to him, let him read that here.)

Chris,
The old board had the option too choose how long you wished too stay logged on. (I think "forever" was one of the choices.)
This board still scares me too. It has eaten up a couple of my rants. (Maybe that is the purpose behind it !.... )
The keep me logged thing helped. Using Mozilla instead of explorer browser seem too have cleared up some problems. (Not only here, but other places too.)
Even on the old board....I would copy and paste too Notepad when I found myself being long winded. (That still works here....but the Control-V and C things are a PIA!)
There are alot of things I like about this board...and there some things I dont. (I suppose if I would go and hang out at the "help" board more often...I might find some answers.)
Hang in there buddy.....It's just like going too those "update" seminars every spring. Sometimes you just sit there and want too roll your eyes and say too yourself "Why in the h*ll didnt they just leave that the way it was..it worked just fine!" This board is "new product".....It takes some time too learn "what breaks" and why. You have our home numbers...never hesitate too use it if you need some help. Nobody here ever hesitates too ask you for help when they need it. later, 'lint.
