Honda Generator
Original Message   Aug 23, 2012 5:24 pm
I just acquired a Honda eb 3500 and a Honda ex 3500 (with electric start).  Neither generator currently runs but both have good compression and I suspect a fuel problem but I wont know until I start working on them.  Both are nearly identical except the em is electric and pull start the eb is pull start only.

Each is rated at 3500 which they should do easily with the GX 240 engines.

Does anyone have a Service / Repair manual for the EB or EM 3500 generators as I have not found on available free on the net.  I can find the user manual but not the service manual.

Thanks

Carl

Robert,

The serial number on the frame is EA6-1132317 and the engine serial number is GC04-3855232, would you know what year this was built as I have not been able to ascertain when they were built.

Carl:

My records show the EM3500SXK1 was invoiced to a dealer on 5/25/1999. The dealer is no longer in our database, nor has that unit ever had a registered owner. I'd guess that unit was manufactured in the mid to late 90s.

If you will send me your name and address, I can update the records to show you as the current owner. Honda asks for this in the unlikely event there's ever a product safety recall on that model and we need to contact you about it. My work email is robert_coats@ahm.honda.com
