Ground Hog Day

The little critter saw its shadow today, which means it will retreat back to its hole for another six weeks of winter.

There's still hope for some snow storms this winter.

Wolves seem to like them. 

Personally, I'll pass.  The diet that our deer eat (when not raiding our gardens) makes them pretty gamey.  Not nearly as tasty as your grain fed Saskatchewan grade "A" white tails.  

Groundhog would likely taste better than our deer, if you can get one that the ticks haven't ravaged.

On the other hand, hard to beat a nice coney.  But I havent seen one round here for years.  Lotsa coyotes tho - I guess thats why.
