Pictures of Storms Gone By...

The lack of snow and therefore lack of using snow clearing equipment has me reminiscing of the good old days. Here's a pic of my HS928TA taking a break during one of the many heavy snow storms we had last winter. I'm going to take more photos this winter if we ever get any snow. Post some pictures if you have some from storms gone by.

Good idea! This is my MTD during one of the storms last year. The first shows how deep the snow was from that storm, and how deep it had gotten by the side of the driveway. The second picture shows the enormous pile that grew by the top of our driveway. We are on the outside of a 90 degree turn in the road, so the plows leave a big arc of EOD for us as they go around the corner. Later in the storms, they will come by and push the snow (whatever I haven't already cleared so we can get out ) into a pile. Last year, with all the snow, that pile got almost comically big. I have to snowblow a path along the side of it, to give the melting runoff that comes down our hill a place to drain, so it doesn't all run down our driveway and turn it into a skating rink.

Red: Was that the day after Christmas storm 2010? I'm pretty sure my photo is that storm and the snowfall amounts of your place and mine appear to be similar. We're only about 10 miles from each other so I'm guessing it may have been the same storm. Think I got about 25" - 30" on that storm when it was all said and done...

From the dates on the pictures, that was actually Feb 2, 2011. This winter sure has been different so far. Alas, the machine in my pictures is nowhere near as nice as the one in yours We had so many hard storms last year, it really was difficult to distinguish one storm from another. Any machine is a great machine as long as it gets the job done! Yours looks very much capable of meeting the task at hand.

These are the types of snow conditions that I'm glad I have a 2 stage snowblower. There's something about a bright colored OPE set against a white snow background pumping out a rooster tail.
Still waitng for snow. Ditto - I love both my SS and 2 stage machines. Nice to have the right tool for the job at hand...
