Anyone ever heard of a Huskee snow blower? I tried searching but cannot find much. My father just picked up a 1 yeard old 28" 8HP Huskee, trying to get some info..... Are they any good? I assume Husqvarna makes them? Any input would be appreciated, thanks. I just learned that Huskee is made by MTD for Tractor Supply Co. So my next question, how is MTD? Dont know much about either one.

Yeah, Huskee doesn't equal Husqvarna. It is an MTD private-alabel product sold to Tractor Supply Co. MTD is an American company that has over the past 20 years bought a signficant number of other American companies i.e. Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt,etc. You can search MTD on the forums here and find mixed reviews. The products are significantly cheaper due to more outsourcing, some have issues with quality, etc.

Thanks for your reply, in your opinon what do you think a 1 year old 28" 8HP unit worth? Ballpark.... Not a clue on the depreciation. Brand new I'm betting it was right about $800 as there are comparable models being sold under different MTD labels still see the 28" Troy-bilt at Lowes.com or the 28" MTD at Sears.com.
