Where can I buy Parts in Canada at reasonable Prices? Man oh man what gives with Small engine part prices in Canada. I need a new carb. For a Toro Single stage Part # 801396 The prices on ebay are from $70 to $99 in Toronto the same part is $180. The other frustrating thing is many of the ebay sellers will not ship to Canada. Toronto guys do you know any distributors in Canada where I can source Small engine parts.

This place does ship to Canada, and they have really nice parts diagrams too.

What engine does the Toro have? I was assuming it was a Tecumseh.
This is the R-TeK Toro Snowblower model 38602 I guess it's a Lawnboy engine which Toro calls B&S The current carb is all plastic # 801255 and the replacement is # 801396 all metal Walbor carb. The problem with the plastic carb it seems to jam and the small governor spring can not pull it out of it's jamed state and the engine bogs down under load.
When the engine is started it revs like crazy and once the auger is engaged the engine slows down and once the augers are dis-engaged the engine still runs slow. There is only 1 small govenor spring and that is it. The spring is perfect not streched or rusted. I tried lubing the carb and when turing all the pivot points it seems to be ok.

I get all of my stuff from the U.S. shipped to a parcel handler on the U.S. side of the border and just make the 30 mile drive to pick it up, clear customs and save tons of money.
I'm still having trouble understanding why the carb needs to be replaced. I've worked on many carbs and never so much as needed a carb kit. I've always managed to get them back in good running condition simply by cleaning them. Some a bit tougher than others but generally, most clean up easily. Is there actual physical damage to the carburetor? When the engine is started it revs like crazy and once the auger is engaged the engine slows down and once the augers are dis-engaged the engine still runs slow. There is only 1 small govenor spring and that is it. The spring is perfect not streched or rusted. I tried lubing the carb and when turing all the pivot points it seems to be ok.
