Bought brand new at homedepot and with right lever up auger running when engine is on Right lever up/down doesn't change any thing Called Service and waiting to get it fixed Airens is a good make ended up with a faulty one Any idea what might be the problem Thanks

I had the same problem with the Ariens I bought at Home Depot. The cable fastener snapped and now I have to get a whole new cable as you cannot just buy the fastener.

Lesson: don't buy equipment from Home Depot. Their people are incompetent, and their managers are a nightmare to deal with when you have a problem. They will defend
the company to no end a stick it to the customer. My snowblower with the snapped cable was a replacement for the first one I bought that had carburetor problems. They did not
replace this unit without a fight. I had to file a complaint with the corporate office and get the regional manager involved. Now I have this new unit with a broken cable after just two months of use.

I checked the cable it was very firm. I tried to move the connecter(at the bottom) that makes the auger rotate....still no movement.... Called HD and they said one of the manager will contact soon. In the mean time Called local warranty (one of the dealer) as usual they asked for deposit, delivery cost etc Also called Airen's HQ they said if it's with in 30 days then pick up ,delivery will be covered under warranty. Then HD manager called no question asked he said he will check other local stores for stock and finally they got one out of the box, tested everything and delivered it and picked up the not-so good one. Happy ending! Ps This is North of the border so may be HD staff is very friendly :-)
