Watched a few youtube videos of people who made monster snowblowers by mounting v-eight engines to their machines.  Well not quite v-8's but much more than what came stock.  For example one guy went from an 8hp stock engine to a 16hp on a 30" blower.  In watching the videos I have to say that I couldn't see an increase in throwing distance.  In one video the only thing that happened was the extra power caused the metal chute to buckle and knocked the chute teeth out of whack.  Guy had to replace the chute.  I guess you can have too much power (sorry Tim Taylor) and throwing distance isn't only a result of engine power.

To use the extra power correctly, he'd have to change a few pulleys and convert that power to impeller speed.

Who the hell let all the morning people run things?

Also, increase the ground speed so there enough snow feeding that hungry impeller.
