Out of fuel/old fuel, bad spark plug, choke/primer bulb not working, gummed up carb??? A few more details would be helpful in trying to narrow down a possible reason for not starting.

If you have been blowing lots of light snow, the starter dogs are iced. Let it sit in a warm place and thaw out for a couple of days. A hair dryer or heat gun will speed up the process but be careful around the fuel tank and carb or it will blow up.

rjs1643: "the recoil grabs the flywheel, so those little dogs are working but its not turning over the engine". If that's the case then the flywheel key could be broke. or The rod is broken so the crank and flywheel spinning free with no piston attached.

The 3650 has been great, but now shuts off after 10-12 min. No sputtering. It just stops. After cooling off, it starts and runs OK. What might the problem be? Coil or magneto? Thanks gtp2
