It looks like a clam shell gearbox and chute worm like MTD.  There should be a sticker on the back of the tractor or stamped in numbers which give the factory number.  536.xxxxxx is Murray 31xxxxxxx is MTD.   If MTD you can get an Operators manual and sometimes a parts section is at the back.  Google MTD to get to their manual page.  You can get a parts breakdown at: http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/MTD/62.1.html

Shadowk99, I have an MTD 5-24 with the same clamshell gearbox made in 1988. I couldn't find the info on their site so I called & they sent me the owner's manual & parts list via email as a pdf.

Cheers

Going to MTD is probably the best bet.  I got a tiller manual from them which I could not find online.

The 310-586-xxxx group at order tree seems to be match for the auger and probably the tractor sections.

It was sold through Canadian Tire as part 60-3970-8.

You're welcome. Looks like the first thing you need to do is replace the shear pins on your auger!  I also see from the scooter that you may be from the greater Montreal area. If you see you will need some parts I can give you the name of a large repair shop in Longueuil that I have used. Generally parts will be much cheaper ordering from US internet shops. I found a package service in Champlain NY  for those who won't ship to Canada or for those who charge too much. Small packages cost 3.00 each & they will hold them for a month before charging storage fees. Gives you a chance to order several things and make 1 trip to pick up.

Cheers

Progress sofar

Dun:
fabed new bracket for the bucket and welded in place
Got the carb cleaned up
new 5W30 engine oil
new belt for the auger/impeller
carb tuned engine running good
replaced chute crank bracket
found a knob for my choke

Minor setbacks:
broke a bolt on one of the skids
had to rebuild one side of the auger shaft (that big bolt on one side had a matching big hole)
bolt on the other side of the auger was the wrong size and won't come out (I'm persuading it with a grinder and a a drill)

ToDo:
still waiting on my belt guard to come in
need to fab a plate for the bottom of  the housing
need to install my impeller clearance kit

I gota get a move on caus it started snowing today
