The difference in price is only $ 50.00 so I would suggest you play around with both and get a feel for each one. You may end up feeling much more comfortable with one over the other and comfort is important when you're spending a few hours behind the machine. Doing a quick comparison, the Toro is 45 lbs. lighter than the Simplicity which may make a big difference to you. Good Luck!

I think I would get used to the feel of either machine with no issues. I just want opinions on if the salesman was out to lunch when he says the toro will outperform the simplicity, considering the toro has the 205cc briggs compared to the 305cc briggs in the simplicity. He said there is more to throwing distance than the power the engine has. I will buy whichever one is going to handle the wet heavy stuff the best. I can't test them out before I buy either because we have no snow yet and once the snow starts these machines are impossible to get in stock.
