Is it truly made in America?? Original Message May 5, 2010 6:09 pm
There are generator companies that boast that their portable generators are made in the good ole USA.Really??How is that possible when their engines r Honda engines.Oh well um um we meant the generator portion.Companies really know how to twist the truth..Well companies ...I think if the whole generator is not made here ,then one can not claim made in the USA .That's like saying that ford is made here, well except for the engine and the suspension lol.Give me a break .........

I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Honda engines built for the North American market are built in the U.S.A. Isn't there a big Honda power equipment plant in Georgia or one of the Carolina's?

even the big usa engine manufactures, they imply made in usa... more like assembled in usa... if u look inside a briggs engine parts are sometime stamped made in mexico or made in argentina... but assembled here...... all in all u need to do research on the product u r buying... are parts available?? how long is the warranty??? where is a service center???? do i have to send part somewhere to get repaired????
