I went to mow the lawn today and my lawnmower won't start. I've traced it down to no spark. How do I test the coil? The machine ran fine last fall. T;He model is: LV195EA, Spec# is 362003C.
I changed the plug. No Spark. I checked the dead man switch it was fine. I replaced the coil and it started with 1 pull. I am hoping someone might know the resistance readings of a good coil so I would have it for future reference.

Last month a coil testing station was made up with an old block that had a hole in the side. The flywheel can be spun to get 2-5 sparks from a coil so a simple go/nogo test.
Measuring several used 30560A/34443A/34443B type coils got .8 primary and 7.2k ~ 8.2k secondary which is inline with many spec's on the net. Your LAV195 takes a 34443 type.
