Thats good to know The "expert" at home depot told me not to.Well my 1st mistake was asking someone at that place for advice LOL.Some of the guys working there know their stuff.

Yup - no sense in letting unused fuel go to waste. Sta-Bil works as advertised - I've been using it forever with excellent results.

I'd be careful about adding two-stroke mix to your car's tank, though. Sure, it will burn just fine - it's the commonly-used 5-micron fuel filter I'd be concerned about. If it's already dirty, even a little oil/paraffin/sludge can choke it off pretty quickly. Adding mix to the tank might present a good opportunity to change out your filter. GM vehicles, in particular, are known for burning out fuel pumps when the upstream pressure increases. Replacing the pump module is about 800 bucks (or more) at a dealership - versus 30 bucks for a new filter a couple of times each year.
