Adding heated gripps to a Snapper Snowblower
Original Message   Jan 10, 2010 9:19 pm
I have a new Snapper 1428 with the power chute & pitch along with a light and want to add heated grips to it.  I have a problem with hands getting cold no matter what type of gloves I wear. I noticed that the Snapper Mid Frame machine M1429 has heated grips on it along with lights and power chute controls. I downloaded the parts manual for it and have all the part numbers to order the stuff. The only thing I cannot find is a wiring diagram on how they get wired in. My snow blower has the 305cc Snow Max engine while the mid frame comes with the snow series engine. I have found info on the alterantor which can be either 5 amp or 9 amp depending on the size of the magnets on the flywheel. I would guess it would be 9 amps seeing it has the 2 motors for the chute control and the light on it. If I had to I would give up the light for the heated grips as the drive has plenty of light on it

Does any one know where I can find this info?
