Skid Shoes

Hey i have a question what height do i set my skid shoes to on my 2 stage snowblower. My snowblower has them on the back as in this picture.

For use on pavement, I adjust mine by putting a couple paint stir sticks on each side under the scraper bar. That seems to be proper clearance for my paved driveway. When you tighten the skid bolts, do it carefully, to make sure you don't throw the adjustment. Are those two holes on the bottom on the sides of the auger housing. If they are, measure them to see if they're spaced the same as the slots on conventional skids. When the skids on the back wear out, you can convert the skids to standard type.
