Snowmonster, stop those slipping belts on your V8 blower!
Original Message   Nov 17, 2009 3:59 pm
Came across this site today & just thought I'd pass it on. A pretty expensive option, but I guess if you've re-engined, or are running a big machine, it may be the answer to burning belts & wasting time. They even have some demo movies.

Cheers

If a single belt isn't wet or contaminated and is properly adjusted, it will work just fine for a very long time. I'm on my third machine and never had belt slippage issues. Keep it simple and original. Performance and parts will never be a problem.

If one were to modify their machine with a big engine (20 h.p. ish) and higher rotation speeds, maybe a double pulley system would be better. Otherwise, don't see a need for it.
