living on long island we got about 2' of snow for me to try my 75 dollar snowblower. never having owned a snow blower it worked pretty well. It started easily but seemed to run a little rough. I'm going to get a new sparkplug, but i'm thinking its a carb issue. i read somewhere that these carbs are a pain to clean. I just went and got this number off the motor 143 746 062 ser 4325d. i also noticed that there was a lot of oil on the frame from the crancase vent. i think its pretty old so some blowby might be expected, ichecked the oil and it was on the low side. any ideas, should i try to clean the carb, any tips on that would be helpful. thanks, rob

turned out the carb was loose..tightened the screw and it runs mint!! i'm never that lucky..that was great. i noticed that there is a guide/ pin that looks like its supposed to keep the drive belt from popping off when there is no load on it. its held in place by a bolt that goes into the case of the motor..well thats striped..i'm thinking i'll have to get a helicoil kit to propery fix that..but its still owes me nothing..then i thought jb weld and try put get the bolt back in..we'll see
