Which Cub Cadet should I buy?

I am currently looking at buying a riding mower and would like to get a Cub Cadet. I have 2 acres to mow. Here are my current options. A 1996 1440 with a 46" deck, wheel weights, and a plow for $900. The other is a Model 680 Hydro (don't know the year) with a 50" deck for $1000. Any insight on which, or either, is a good deal? Thanks.
