Ariens st824 gearbox rebuild

I am currently rebuilding my 924050 S/N is 020654. I bought it used last January and got a few months out of it with no problems. So this fall I was going to clean it up, repaint it, and check all the working parts. Today I tore into the gearbox. It has the aluminum one. It appeared to have just lithium grease in it once taken apart, not the correct kind I think. When I got the impeller shaft out I noticed a lot of metal shavings. It seems as if the end of the impeller shaft was being eaten by the end bushing, once all the metal shavings were removed it looks like I got about 1/16" play between that bushing and the shaft. So it looks like at very least I will need a new impeller shaft. The pinion shaft feels pretty smooth, but they have about 1/64"-1/32" play in the side bushings. The teeth of the worm gear feel chipped up as well. So is this gearbox worth rebuilding? Do I have this right, I probably need the 4 bushings, 2 seals, worm, pinion, and impeller shaft? Is there anything else that should be replaced? Is it worth rebuilding this gearbox or should I just look for a new/used one? If I do rebuild it, can I get a new gasket or just use silicon? Also, what is the correct grease to use once I do get it together? Last question, how do you get the bearing off the impeller shaft? Seems froze on pretty good.
Thanks in advance for any help.
