question about husqvarna snowblowers and deflector cap
Original Message   Sep 4, 2009 5:40 pm
I noticed that some of the husqvarna snowblowers have a deflector extension. Is this just a gimmick or does it really help to throw snow farther or higher??

Greetings...

I did a google search..and found that the deflector extension isn't for throwing snow farther, but to keep the snow a little further away from the operator of the snow blower.

An old Husqvarna (2008 brochure) stated that...

"When winter delivers a dry snow and breezy conditions, clearing
your driveway and sidewalk can be unpleasant experience if you end
up covered in snow. LS snow throwers are equipped with a rubber
deflector extension to help keep you warm and dry while putting
snow in its place."

Regards.. Dan
