Carb adjustment Original Message Apr 30, 2009 6:43 pm
Help, I have a Homelite Trim ’n Edge model UT20024A which needs a carb adjustment. It will only run full power in half choke. It has those plastic seal caps. Service manual says take to dealer for carb adjustment. Any ideas how I can adjust carb?
Check your fuel lines/filters first. Make sure you're getting good flow to the carb. If you are, and haven't made any adjustments, your problem might be the diaphragm. How old is the machine?

THe machine is 2005. The primer bulb shows plenty of fuel. It idles fine with no choke. If you give it throttle with No choke it bogs down. Bulb shows fuel. I aquired this from the landlord. i'm sure he didn'r prep for off season ever. ( drain fuel, etc) I've tried card cleaner spray. No luck.

first check fuel lines as borat stated and the filter personaly l would replace them anyways there litterally gonna cost u 5-6 dolluars at a local parts store, and l would but a diaphram in well your at it then its done make sure the tank is clean....and if all that done and it still runs lean under load the just break off the plastic tabs and adjust as u would normally, or do that rigth off the bat your call, personally replacing the other parts should give u a good running machine for a few years without problems.
