Happy Easter! from aa335
Original Message   Apr 10, 2009 2:18 pm
 Hey guys and gals,

Happy Easter to you all.  Remember that Easter is just not about the Easter Bunny, eggs, and candy.  Silly rabbit gets all the attention.  It's also about rebirth, cycle of life, rejuvination, Springtime , and ...baseball, or canyon carving.  Vroom Vroom, :)

So get out there and clean up the yard, clear the cobwebs and clutter in the garage, start up your lawnmower, motorcycles.

I'm painting the inside of the garage, floor to ceiling.  Putting down a coat of epoxy paint for the concrete floor. Got to find a place for snowblower park for hibernation.

Thanks for the Easter wishes and the same to all.

Bought this beautiful used 2003 Honda Valkyrie (liquid cooled flat six cylinder engine with six carbs) for taking the wife cruising.  I took her for her first ride today.  Maybe sixty miles or  so mostly on secondary highways.  Still lots of snow around here.  Temperatures were in the low 50s F.  but with the big windshield and proper clothing, we were pretty comfy.  It was great just to get out and she seemed to have enjoyed it.   What an awesome machine.  I'm fairly experienced with quite a variety of motorcycles.  This baby is in a class by itself.  Very powerful, very fast, stable and agile and extremely comfortable.  A truly magnificent motorcycle.   Here's the wife's ride:

Nice and comfortable cruiser.  I'm glad the Mrs is sharing your enjoyment of motorcycles.  I just took interest in a Honda Valkyrie Rune.  I guess it is a relative bargain as far as custom bike look without the custom pricetag.  :) My cautious and sensible other half would only let me enjoy the thrill of speed as a cager.  There are too many yahoo drivers on the road.

Is that Valkyrie shaft driven?

I just switched out the snow tires to summer tires.  The car is now tight and responsive, no more mushy ride of the snow tires.  Looking forward to a warm Sunday to take it out on the backroads.
