I tried Google - Ariens' site, etc... It has electric start but you have to use an extension cord. Interesting machine. I really want to know what year it is, but any info would be most welcome.

This is my 1978 rebuild and the sticker on the plate is not the original, the one that used to be there is the same logo as yours, but chec k out the control on the top is a little different.
