I want to flip the muffler over on this Honda GX200 clone.  If  I do, then the single stage snowblower can be reassembled with it 's plastic cover over the top (looks really sharp).  The blower runs fine with the muffler as it is but it just does not have that Honda pizzaz without the cover.  Unfortunately, when I flip the muffler over the exhaust port does not line up. The center of the port is offset between the two mounting holes (as shown in the photo below).  So if I were to flip it over they would no longer align with the exhaust port on the engine. When flipped over, the cover fits nicely.   Any ideas on this retrofit? I am sooo close.

What about cutting the pipe and rewelding it?  Was this to replace that Honda you were going to put back together?

How much is that GX200 clone engine?  Is it a direct bolt in?

Yes, its a practically new Honda 520AS (electric start).  The almost new GS180 ran into an issue with the previous owner.   I got it in half a dozen boxes.  I thru this GX200 clone on there for kicks until I get the old motor back together. .  The 6.5 hp easily throws snow 25 to 30 feet.  I blew 5.5" of new snow with it over the weekend. I owned a troy built 5hp single stage once and did not care for it.  This little honda is a lot of fun to use compared to the big 2-stage blowers.  And quiet.  Don't get me wrong.  It cannot handle a foot of packed snow and ice at the end of the driveway.  At least not without a lot of effort.

I am still working on the little honda gs180.   I was a little overwhelmed when I was first faced with all those boxes of parts. But now that everything except the engine is installed there's only a handful of parts for that motor. I am shocked that there are so few parts to these motors.  The clone is a fun experiment and the jury is still out on this one.  I was kicked out of the dining room so I may have to wait for warmer weather to finish assembling the honda gs180.   My neighbors all come over to borrow a snowblower and the single phase is now the one in high demand.  I promised it to my dad and he's already started asking for it.. I really want to get the cover on. You need it to keep the snow from melting and refreezing in inappropriate places.     

I think you are talking about the cutting the pipe on the flange,   why not cut the middle of the pipe and twist it 180 degrees . then butt weld the pipe back together...
