I got to blow another 8" or so this morning, before it started to rain.  Now it's pouring.

Good thing you got that 8" up before the rain hit. Nothing is worse than trying to clear 6-8" of slush. I have 17" on the ground and it's pouring here, too. Yet it's supposed to be 9 degrees by this time tomorrow.  Ahhhh, winter, such fun.

Woke up to twelve below F. this morning.  Clear & cold but at least no wind.  Snow coming tonight and into tomorrow.  Not too much though....
