Jubol's swing ball valve
Original Message   Jan 15, 2005 11:56 am
Hi Fred-
I would like to install the swing ball valve on my machine..Where would you get a Swing ball valve of the proper size?

Is it made of brass? Is it already set up for the wire safety or do you need to drill a hole in the handle? Is it possible to post a picture of your installation?

Thanks for the great idea,

Marc

Yes Fred, Please. I think they are a great reference for drift cutters. skids, and quick oil change valves. I have another question. I'll send a PM.

Hi guys!

Thanks for the pictures! Does the valve come in a 90 degree configuration or do you use an elbow?

The idea of being able to route the oil through a tube into a container instead of all the mess associated with an oil change is terrific!!!!!!

Thanks again,

Marc

Its just a standard ball valve that you can get from most hardware stores. You'll probably need a 1" long nipple to go between the drain hole in engine and the valve.  There are several configurations available. I got one set up that uses a braided stainless steel hose on it and an end cap. The hose is normally used to connect water pipes to fixtures such as toilets and fawcets. There's all sorts of stuff in the plumbing section. If I remember correctly the hole is 3/8" NPT ( National Pipe Thread)
