Going up a ramp

Anyone have any experience getting a blower to drive up a ramp? I need to get it up onto my deck which is about 40 inches off the ground. How steep or shallow a ramp can I use without having to push it up?

I've done it to get up on my deck.  A couple of 10' rough cut 2x12  did the job for me.
