Wanted to get the toro 826le but wife wants me to get the ariens 927le so we can put it on Home depot card.  any thoughts on the quality of the units.  Suggestions? using it in chicago weather.  Thanks

Have you done a comparison between the machines?  Looked at engine type & power, integrity of construction, cast iron vs. aluminum auger gear housing, rugged (non electronic) controls?  Last but not least, what is the difference in price?  Toro is infamous for ridiculously high prices and not offering that much better of a machine than other top quality producers who sell equivalent models for as much as $500.00 less.
