I am about to buy my first snowthrower and I can't decide wich one to buy, help please between :

Ariens 1130DLE

or

Ariens 927LE

or

also, there are the Troybuild one are they any good ?

Wich one to choose ? there all in my price range ?

Hi Chris,

My old man bought a 5hp Craftsman in the early 90's & used it about 3 times before breaking the shear pin. A tiny, cheap part but he couldn't get it easily because they didn't sell it in the stores. The next year he bought a 7hp Ariens & has never had an issue but bad gas (which the dealer came to the house & diagnosed, Sears doesn't do that). I'd recommend an Ariens from a dealer that offers excellent service because when you need it, they'll be there. As far as which model, I have no experience using any large Ariens blower so I can't really comment. I'd test both & see if you can handle both without beating yourself up.

As for the Troy, they don't personally impress me.

I'd always go Ariens myself.

I would go with this awesome machine, It eats the snow like a tiger!!!

Second choice, for occasional to average use would be the 927 LE

I WOULD NOT really concider anything else listed.  ESPECIALLY the Canadian Tire models.  They have been reduced to below average quality now.

Sears would be a last resort, if necessay.
