craftsman lt2000 wont start

i turn the key and it cranks about 2 seconds before stopping and just making a clicking sound.  im not too good with machines, and im totally lost on this.  any help would be greatly appreciated

yeah sounds like your battery cant handle a load any more needs replacing.
