Original Message   Feb 22, 2008 10:52 am
To whom it may concern,

What is the tire pressure for the tires on a Toro Snow Blower Model 824?

                                                                                               thank you

The 824 model was made for many years (maybe 30) with great variation in total weight and tire sizes. Pressure is not so critical. Stiff enough to move the machine around, soft enought to grip and you can vary as conditions change. Too stiff gets bouncy and less grip. To low and the chains might hit the frame. You can find what works for you.
Google for the Toro site and go to their manual section. Give the manual section your model number off the machine tag along with the serial number. If your machine is not too old it will return an operators manual. Even if there is no operators there should be a parts manual which will give the tire. You can google for the pressure for that tire.

as trouts said it depends on tire size and how stiff u want them, although most toro 824 tires are max 20 psi.

TIRE PRESSURE!!

Model 38064 6h.p. 22" wide Power Throw, purchased in 2004.

Page 13 of the operators manual. The tires are over inflated at the factory for shipping. Reduce the pressure to between twelve (12) and fifteen (15) (psi)pounds per
square inch.(end of paragraph) Equal pressure will help to keep the blower in a straight line and keep the scraper bar flat on the ground. I believe that over or under inflating any tire is not good, for any reason!!!
