Snowblower headlight
Original Message   Jan 21, 2008 4:08 pm
I've looked through the posts and just joined the forum, now looking for more advice.  I've been able to acquire the parts necessary for install of the headlight on my Craftsman snow blower, 247.87730.0, 7HP Tecumseh, OH195SA-72571G.  My question is this,  can I install the 18W alternator on this engine?  All the parts lists I've found show the same flywheel, pn: 611216 with and without the alternators.  Can anyone confirm this flywheel has internal magnets for the alternator as I would prefer not to remove the flywheel and find I just have to put it all back without the new parts.  I've spent less than $50 on all the components hoping this is a simple install.
