which is the best in snow throwing distance...honda,ariens,toro or simplicity if hp is the same on all machines.....
I'll say my Toro 1800 wins in its class. [12amps = about 2HP, right?]
For that matter I'd be willing to have a 'blow-off' with 3-4HP machines. Jim

It's usually Honda and it's not necessarily a great advantage, boon or bane depending on clearance. I suspect Hondas are responsible for more shattered windows than other brands. Other brands' throwing performance can be improved through the use of rubber impeller blade extensions available in either commercial kits (Clarence is the best known) or DIY.
