I'll say my Toro 1800 wins in its class.    [12amps = about 2HP, right?]

For that matter I'd be willing to have a 'blow-off' with 3-4HP machines.

how big is the impellar intake on these.  10" 12" 16"    how close of tolerance between implellar blades and impellar housing???  i just customized my mtd.  it has a 12" intake, i installed some rubber on each blade to take up the gap.   i am still working on it.  it had a 5 hp on it with and extended cam for reverse.  the 10hp i put on does not have the extended cam.  so now i have to reverse the cam underneath so i have 5 gears forward and 2 reverse.

It's usually Honda and it's not necessarily a great advantage, boon or bane depending on clearance. I suspect Hondas are responsible for more shattered windows than other brands. Other brands'  throwing performance can be improved through the use of rubber impeller blade extensions available in either commercial kits (Clarence is the best known) or DIY.
