Vintage poloron snowblower
Original Message   Dec 15, 2007 1:16 pm
Check out this dinasaur...
Chain driven auger.
Anybody know anything about it. It looks like a Lambert which was the JC Penny snowblower  in the 1960's. Not much info online.

I'd guess to say you're right, based on this picture:

Hey guys,

I know this thread is kinda old, but I signed up just to reply to it. I'm looking for information on the same snowblower as I have one. Mine has been through years of very tough abuse though, and has some serious safety & cosmetic issues.

Me too!    Donjag answered as I was logging in to say the same thing.      It *is* a home-made job, right?      Let us know if it is too high so you're breathing fumes while using the machine.

Ditto on the exhaust comments.  Looks like the pipe is brand new.  Don't see any carbon on the inside.  Bet that baby barks!

I have the same snow thrower.  I've got to tell you, when it works, it works very well.  Mine has a fuel problem right now because I've been remiss in maintenance.  One of my original solid tires cracked into pieces so I replaced them with new ones.  The machine itself is a bear.  I'm actually looking to replace it rather than keep tinkering with it.  Any one interested, drop me a line.  I was going to post a photo of it but I can't figure how to do it.

Hi Everyone,        Well its 2 yrs later and I just found this site as I am looking for parts for my poloron which is exactly the same as these pics.  I just did the valves and ignition and now noticed
that the bearing for the blower is out and I am searching for parts. Any help would be appreciated if your all still here.  I have extended the shoot so it shoots farther and yes the box to the right is the auger drive  kerryjonjon@yahoo.com
