Homelite UT-08111 blower Original Message Nov 29, 2007 9:31 am
I have a blower here that is not picking up gas when I pump the primer bulb. I replaced the fuel lines and took the carb somewhat apart to check for anything goofy and did not find anything.
The engine is just fine and works like a champ with a tiny bit of starter fluid.

What should I check next? Thanks!
Did you have the fuel line to the primer bulb off? Did you open up the primer? Usually a primer will have a check valve in the fuel supply line to allow the fuel to flow in one direction only. If the valve is either missing or improperly installed, it will not allow fuel in or hold it in the carb. You might want to check the primer's fuel lines.
being you had the primer and fuel line off, its possible they are backwards on the carb. try switching them around. make sure the primer line is on both nipples on primer if its and external pirmer .
