Toro Snow Husky, old two stroke engine
Original Message   Nov 20, 2007 6:06 pm
I become obsessed with fixing old machines.  This is a small light thrower that wants to run but needs either a carb or simply the needle settings to be set properly.  It runs on a shot of spray start but you can't do that for long on a 2 stroke.Does anyone have a manual listing the carb needle settings and or access to a parts supplier of the carb.  Powerplant was made by Lauson Power Products who this far only interact with manufacturers.  Toro similarly sends me to new equipment dealers.  Or... do you have an old parts machine I can buy the carb from?

if its a tecumseh, lauson engine i would first put in a new needle/seat combo along with the diaphram/gasket.  to start of seat both needles lightly and then back out 1 1/2 turns.  this should get it started.   the needle closest to engine is the idle fuel mixture screw,  the other is the high speed.  once engine is started let it warm up for a couple of minutes before any adjustments are done.
