Original Message   Nov 2, 2007 2:19 pm
ok i know way off topic, but u guys(girls) are knowledge fonts.

Tried to put the gas boiler on for the seasonlast night. The pilot would light, but would not stay lit.
Today it will not even light.

(before i fif this i tried to dust in there, could i have gotten some dust i there. i have tried to get a vacuum hose to the area,

New pilot assembly needed. should i leave this to a plumber? Keyspan? The boiler is a burnham

Getting cold in boston

Solara- No you didn't stretch out the orifice. I suspect though that you didn't get all of the spider eggs or crud that was blocking the gas flow. It might have to be taken apart to be thoroughly cleaned. As I have said earlier this is what happens when you turn off the pilot at the season end. Leave it on all year long and you won't have this problem.  - Kris
