I removed mower deck.  When I removed deck the clutch spring was connected to mower deck, so I removed it.  Where do I connect it to tractor now that I'm not using deck?

P.S.  Ever since I removed deck I am unable to shift gears.  The gear that I put the tractor in at start up is the only gear I can use.  Only way to change gear is to shut off engine and restart.  Only at restart can I change gears.

I haven't been able to find anything out. Try phoning Sears and see if you can get an owner's manual.
