Which backpack Leaf Blower to Get???
Original Message   Sep 24, 2007 12:17 pm
Hi,  I was looking for a backpack leaf blower and I don't know which way to go.  My choices are Redmax EBZ 7001, Echo PB 755, Husqvarna 170 BT, or Shindaiwa EB 630.  I do not know much about the Shindaiwa, It was verbally mentioned to me.  Pretty much all close to same price.  Give or take a few dollars.  I would really appreciate everyones opinion and experience.  Thank You in advance,  Eddie

I also have a Stihl. a BR400 in my case. I have been quite pleased with it. I use it to cear 4 lots, two of which have better than 30 mature trees on them each. It generally takes about 10 hours total for the two big lots and about 1.5 hours total for the two smaller one. I sometimes also help my neighbours.

You might have a talk with a local lawn maintenance company and see what they use and what their opinion is.

I try to do most of my own maintenance but it might be worthwhile seeing what dealers are close to you and which ones service what they sell.

Thanks for the imput.  I have a local hardware that sells and services all that I mentioned above including Stihl.  After a long discussion on all the different choices, I asked what his recommendation was.  He said that he would go with the Echo PB 755.  I was surprised he picked the Echo because they are such a big Stihl dealer.  I discussed my choices with a couple of dealers and they all praised the Echo.  So I bought the Echo yesterday.  Haven't used it yet due to work but probably tomorrow or the next day.  Just in time because the leaves are starting to fall.  Thanks Again for the Responses,  Eddie
