Tire Inflator
Original Message   Apr 30, 2007 10:19 am
I bought a 12V tire inflator called and "Airman" to carry around in my van about 11 months ago. About 4 months ago while using it for the fourth time it started making a funny noise and wouldn't inflate any more. Took it back to Canadian Tire and they replaced it. Tried using the new one for the second time and it started to make the same funny noise. Back to CT, they no longer stock that particular model so they say I'm out of luck.

There are two obvious issues:
  1. The unit has a 12 month waranty on it, I don't care if its no longer in stock, I bought it from CT and they should honour their commitment; and
  2. The unit is not reliable and I want one that is.
I will be contacting CT's customer service group at head office about issue number 1.

I want to get recommendations from people here as to what reliable 12V inflators they would recommend.

I don't feel that I over use the thing but I have had several pneumatic tires go flat or at least soft in the last year and have used it. When it works its been a back saver, when it breaks its a true and utter pain so reliability is top of the list for me.
