Wow...Some serious snow throwers here. Original Message Apr 8, 2007 2:03 am
I've never seen these at a Yamaha dealership. I'm assumng that the models range from 6hp to 13 hp. The full engine shroud on some of the models look cool.
I don' argue with the machines looking heavy. The track drives also look impressive. However I wonder how much of the motor's power is chewed up by the traction system and what is left over for the impeller system. As I understand it you have a balancing act. The other thing that I wonder about is how maneuverable the machines are. They could be great for clearing long straight areas such as ice rinks, sidewalks or whatever but not very good at short driveways. It occurred to me while looking at these things that a track drive unit would be an ideal candidate for either a differential or remote trigger lock system but I haven't heard of any, has anyone else?
Does the translation give you any info on what features they have?
into the web page translator field then choose Japanees to English.
The throwing distance is 62 feet for the 13hp...but it's expensive. The top of the line 13hp costs $7,000 US dollars. Their cheapest machine, 6hp cost $2600.
