How to remove the throttle knob

Anyone have any idea how to remove the black throttle knob on the Ariens rear engine mower.I am talking about the knob on the throttle lever.30 in deck / 11 hp engine.

Phil,

If it  is a separate item, it could be just a friction fit,  pry it off.

Before you do that, check and see if there is a set screw holding it, may be on the bottom of the knob!!
