Hey,
I've got an old snowblower that I've been keeping running for about two years now... Had a dirty carb when I got it, so cleaned, and rebuilt the carb, and it has worked more or less fine ever since... I've got two problems with it, and I'm not sure what causes it... Blower is an old mastercraft, about 20 years old, uses a 10hp B&S.
If I use the 120v starter, it starts no problem, but if I try to pull start it, every once in a while it just locks up and rips out of my hand... I've replaced the handle 2-3 times as everytime this happens the handle breaks... I think it's a backpressure thing, but no clue if this can be addressed...
Also every once in a while when the blower is sitting while I say move a car, or shovel a walk, the engine will rev up. The blower is already at WOT so when this happens the rev's are really high... I run over and push back the handle between the carb and governor, and it's fine again, but what is causing it to rev up?
Looking for ideas!
Thanks!
